Brainstorm Session
LibraryThing could be used as an ad hoc social network for sharing books among faculty at Lane and beyond.
LibraryThing could be a collection development tool. Imagine if you had access to the personal libraries of 100 professors and teachers. If 10 of them in a field had a book and the library didn't, that could tell you something important.
Connect with departments - LibraryThing could be used to catalog books from departments such as CIT and Science who have their own collections.
To connect with the community - LibraryThing can be used by non-profits.
Patrons can use LibraryThing to track what they have read from Lane Library plus other library etc.
Create book lists of recommended books and use a widget to display them on a webpage. See Shenandoah Public Library
